Framing Examples

1. Vaccinations - Anti-vaxxers sometimes bridge anti-vaccination to their religious beliefs; ie, they say that medicine and vaccinations interfere with God's plan for their child.

2. Civil Rights in America - Civil Rights for black Americans extended into a civil rights movement for other minority groups like Native Americans and even women.

Precis;
Michael Heaney and Fabio Rojas used their publication titled "The Place of Framing"  to explain the importance of framing in a rhetorical situation involving protest, specifically in regards to the 2005 protest on the Iraq War. They use rhetorical protest references and rhetorical definitions from other anti-wart movements to build an understanding of the main protest they are examining. They wrote this article to make readers re-analyze the many angles through which a protest can be seen. The article is most likely written for English students and protest analysts.
