    2. Teresa Cordova published her work in 2015 which argues that by embracing the roots of Chicano and Chicana Studies in schools overall success of Chicano/Mexican students will be promoted. Cordova supports her thesis by discussing the aspect of community, academy, and engagement of these students with the rest of their peers. The purpose Cordova has is to provide evidence of the passion, commitment, and self-discipline Chicano/Latino students have to better themselves and the community they serve. The intended audience is the TUSD administrators so that they may be conscious of their student’s supplements to success.
