Who/What: The Washington Redskins logo/name, one of the 32 teams in the National Football League.
When: 1932 (when the team was created) to present.
Why: The Washington Redskins name has been a debate for years. People argue that the name of the team is offensive, and the movement to outlaw the name in recent years has taken steam. The term "redskin" stereotypes Native Americans and reflects a rough history all the way back when colonists first began to inhabit America.
