Counter Protesters

Both sides are competing for what the place means.  The counter protesters thought the protesters were not patriotic, and they argued that the protesters were pushing a hidden agenda.  The counter protesters were in favor of the war efforts, the exact opposite of the protesters.

Place was mentioned throughout the section, as well as, counter protesters, and locals. 

Place: the place had multiple uses land mark and the locations meaning.

Counter protests: the people in opposition to the protest, basically they were pro War on Terror.   

The importance of this section showed what locals actually thought about the area, and what they thought of the protesters and their goals.  The locals were disgusted by the protesters, because they saw the protest as symbol of disrespect for the soldiers in the war.        

 

One Year Later
