Trere References

  • Esteinou Madrid, J. (2011). La televisión salvaje. Veredas, Revista del Pensamiento Sociológico, 12(22), 11–32. We believe this fits the category of historical context because it was used at a point in the essay where a lot of information on the presidential parties during the 2012 #yosoy132 movement is given.
  • Laclau, E., & Mouffe, C. (1985). Hegemony and socialist struggle. New York, NY: Verso. This source seemed to deal with the inner struggles of the YouTube video, which was part of the protest movement.
  •  Kavada, A. (2009). Email lists and the construction of an open and multifaceted identity: The case of the London 2004 European social forum. Information, Communication & Society, 12(6), 817–839. For this source, we determined that it dealt with the identity or community because it was in a paragraph that dealt with members talking about the 'Mexican rebellious tradition'.
  • Benski, T., Langman, L., Perugorría, I., & Tejerina, B. (2013). From the streets and squares to social movement studies: What have we learned? Current Sociology, 61(4), 541–561. This source fits the theoretical peer review article because it talks about 'digital comfort zone' in a way that would not be familiar to most people.
