This object is a music video done by Sri Lankan-British singer M.I.A in alliance with the Saudi Arabia Women2Drive campaign. The video features women in traditional dress and shows women in cars, empowering the Saudi Arabian woman (MIAVEVO).

Where: This video was made in alliance with the Women2Drive campaign in Saudi Arabia. However the video was not filmed in Saudi Arabia because the government would not allow it, so it was filmed in Morocco (Noisey).

Why: This music video received a lot of media attention and drew awareness to the Saudi Arabian ban on women driving. Saudi Arabia is the only country that has a ban on women drivers. The women of Saudi Arabia argue that there is no Islamic rule on women driving, and the ban is purely a sexist installation by the government (Zuberi).

The identity this video is concerned with is women in Saudi Arabia who have their rights determined by their gender under law. The video is also concerned with hip hop viewers all over the world that watched this video and were made aware of women's’ rights issues in Saudi Arabia.
