Liverpool Protest of Football Ticket Prices

Protesters put up signs about the price rise of Football tickets in Liverpool (The Guardian).

What/Who: Most Liverpool Football fans are unhappy about the Liverpool Football Club jacking up ticket prices once again. They are definitely using pathos to achieve their message, with the large sign reading "Let me tell you a story of a poor boy..." Saying that the Liverpool Football Club is becoming elitist, letting only those who can afford it see their games.

Where: Liverpool, England. The city's less wealthy inhabitants are the ones most in uproar about ticket prices.

Why: The Liverpool Football Club has a history of jacking prices up in attempts to make more money out of its fans. Fans are getting so fed up with the ticket prices, many are boycotting the games and refusing to buy tickets; some protesters have even given their season tickets back to the Club, saying they are "done with [going to games]" (ESPNFC).

The protesters seem to identify with less wealthy Liverpool Football fans. They act like they are speaking for those who can no longer afford tickets. So, this protest may be seen as liberal from a perspective that the protesters don't want to contribute to the wallets of the already wealthy corporations that control Football.
