
Who/What:In the early 1970's the Yavapai Tribe of Fort McDowell protested the Federal Government on building a dam just south of their boarders. The dam would have caused massive flooding to the Tribal land, and would have caused the Yavapai people to relocate.

Why: The dam would have caused massive flooding to the area on which the Yavapai people lived on.
The identity of this piece represents a group of people, a group of people that identifies themselves as a Nation, a Sovereign Nation, that took a fight for land that they were given by executive order.
