Democracy via Dialogue:  Expressing a personified view through speaking to one or more individuals.

Example:  During the presidential candidate debates a potential president presents their views on government through dialogue.

Quote:  "Yet the dream of the public sphere as the engagement of embodied voices, democracy via dialogue, cloisters us, for perforce its vision compels us to see the contemporary landscape of mass communication as a nightmare."  (DeLuca and Peeples, page 187)

With so many different views presented to us by mass media it can be seen as a "nightmare" trying to sift through them all.
