This object is a song by the Smiths called meat is murder, released in February 1985 (Neeson).

Where-The Smiths is a British band formed in Manchester England. However at the time the song spread all over the UK, and can now be played all over the world (“The Smiths History”).

Why-“Meat is Murder” is a song in protest of the killing of animals. Lyrics of the song include “a death for no reason is murder” (“The Smiths-Meat”). In the background of the music there are distinct sounds of a slaughterhouse, further driving the message in protest of killing animals for food.

Vegetarian members of the Smiths created this song in order to protest the killing of animals. The identity of this song is vegetarians or vegans that are in favor of animal rights.
